Purnell Body Shop Hops Aboard the CSN Collision Network

June 11th, 2024 – Purnell Body Shop, serving the 110,000-strong Elkton community in Maryland, is now part of the CSN Collision network. Established in 1954 by George Purnell, the shop was originally a three-man operation that has since expanded. The current owner, David Coleman, joined Purnell Body Shop in 1984, purchasing it in 1994, and has led it to its present success. By joining the CSN network, the shop sees opportunities for growth through support in navigating the ever-changing industry and enjoying other benefits of being part of the network. Furthermore, the shop’s alignment of core values, such as honesty and a commitment to excellence, significantly influenced its decision to join the network.

David Coleman, the owner, states, “We are guided by a commitment to do what is right. We value honesty and fairness in our interactions with our customers and insurance partners. We take great pride in offering high-quality and safe collision repair services for every vehicle. We appreciate all our customers and are dedicated to providing the best services in our area.”

The Purnell team consistently places the customer at the forefront of every decision. Recently, they had the opportunity to assist a client facing a challenging situation. The client resided an hour away and had been waiting for several days for their insurance company to respond. Uncertain about how to proceed with scheduling repairs, the client turned to Purnell for assistance.

Immediately, the Purnell team took action. They contacted the insurer on the first day to secure authorization for vehicle pickup using their in-house towing service scheduled for the following day. Once approval was granted, they swiftly proceeded with estimating and initiating repairs. Remarkably, within less than ten days, they completed the repairs and returned the fully restored vehicle to the grateful customer.

In addition to ensuring that customers can get back on the road safely, the Purnell Body Shop team is committed to actively supporting the community by sponsoring various events. These include support for the Boys and Girls Club, the Cecil County Dragway, multiple soccer, softball, and school sports teams, the Youth Empowerment Source, and the local hospital’s cancer foundation.
