On September 30, CSN Ed’s Collision in Maple Grove partnered with Farmers Insurance, HURST Jaws of Life®, and the National Auto Body Council® to host a First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™) training event. It was a powerful example of community collaboration.
Nearly 20 first responders from across the Twin Cities participated in hands-on training to safely rescue accident victims from today’s advanced vehicles. With high-strength steel, complex airbag systems, and electric drivetrains now standard in modern cars, traditional rescue techniques aren’t always enough. The NABC® F.R.E.E.™ program bridges that gap by offering firefighters and EMS teams rare opportunities to practice extrication on late-model vehicles in realistic crash scenarios.
The event included classroom instruction and three hours of live extrication drills using the latest rescue tools and techniques. Salvage vehicles donated by insurance partners simulated real-world conditions, helping first responders train safely and effectively at no cost to them or their departments.
At CSN Ed’s, we believe our role in the community goes beyond collision repair. Hosting this event was about giving back, supporting those who protect us, and helping build a safer, stronger Maple Grove.
Out at the gym for a great night of Park Center basketball, the crowd brought all the energy as the Pirates battled Andover right down to the wire. Fans swung by the table for rally towels, quick hellos, and stories about their experiences with the shop, and it was great to be part of it all. Nights like this are what make supporting our local schools and communities so rewarding. Go Pirates.
CSN Collision is proud to support Make-A-Wish® as our official national charity partner. Our partnership began in 2011 and since then, we have raised over $450,000 to help grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
