I called Scott’s 180 and let them know I had purchased a ZR1 hood online for my C7 Corvette. I explained what I was hoping to do, and they were genuinely excited to take on the job.

When I arrived with the hood, I unpackaged it with Kevin (the owner), and we inspected it together for any factory imperfections.

I dropped my car off on a Tuesday afternoon. The team test-fitted the hood, did some minor bodywork on the edges, re-primed and prepped it for paint. Since it required a two-stage paint process—factory Shadow Gray Metallic and Carbon Flash Black, plus the underside—they took the time to do it right.

After painting, they polished and clear coated the hood for a true show car finish.

The car was finished by Friday afternoon, and wow—it turned out absolutely beautiful. The final result exceeded my expectations, and the price came in exactly where I hoped it would.

I can’t thank the team at Scott’s 180 enough for the amazing work they did. While I was working out of town, Kevin kept me in the loop with photos showing the entire process. Here are a few of those pictures:

I’m beyond thrilled with Scott’s 180. My 2017 Buick Envision was T-boned in September of 2021. Melinda, Kevin and crew went above and beyond to fix my car. They dealt with the insurance company and GM making my experience less stressful. They even fixed a wee dent for me.
Never once was my experience less than stellar.
I picked my car up today and you’d never know it was in an accident. The paint matching was perfect; this is a true sign of craftsmanship making sure the the shadowing and flecks are just so spot on that it blends in with the existing colour of the vehicle. I ran my hand over the new paint and it was silky smooth. The attention to deal is impeccable. All in all I wish my body recovered as well as my car did from this accident lol.
Lastly, they stand behind the work they do. I’ve seen other work they’ve done and it’s perfect every single time I’ve seen it.
They’re a locally owned and operated business that treats you better than family, fixes your car like they own it for a reasonable price.
