Summary of Role

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Specialist, SEO & Communications is responsible for developing and leading the execution of CSN’s internal and external communications as well as the SEO strategy. They will be responsible for cultivating engagement from the shop owners and increasing the visibility of the shops online, through the creation and distribution of powerful communications and the execution of the SEO strategy. The ideal candidate has an engaging personality, is confident, has Integrity, and is not afraid to take initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary Goals and Required Outputs

    • Collaborate with the manager to plan, develop, and execute a wide variety of marketing campaigns aimed at diverse audiences (stores and end users), with an emphasis on copywriting
    • Create written and designed content, in collaboration with our Graphic Designer, for a variety of communications channels to promote CSN Collision Centres, including website, billboards, TV, Radio, Brochures, Signage
    • Implement technical SEO strategies, on-page and off-page optimization strategies to improve organic and local search rankings for stores’ microsites


  • Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Marketing

    • Write and develop press releases, announcements, and articles in trade magazines or social media platforms
    • Maintain the CSN Intranet Homepage and the Marketing SharePoint folder
    • Lead internal email communications, ranging from training updates to corporate events, career opportunities to shop announcements
    • Support the planning and execution of the annual conference as well as various events during the year (golf tournaments, charity fundraising)
    • Generate new ideas and contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing and communications programs and processes


  • Search Engine Optimization

    • Perform keyword research, competitor analysis and website optimization to create high-quality content around relevant terms and trends
    • Maintain and optimize CSN website, including shop pages, employing SEO best practices
    • Develop link building and backlink strategies to build online authority
    • Oversee Business Profiles and propose recommendations to improve them
    • Provide monthly reporting on search engine rankings and website performance to identify areas of improvement and execute them

Qualifications:

  • The Skills and Experience Required:

  • The right candidate will have digital marketing experience with a specialized focus in developing and executing powerful SEO strategies. They will be comfortable conducting keyword research as well as creating compelling business recommendations that drive brand authority and credibility.

  • Required:

    • University degree in Marketing or Communications
    • 4-6 years’ experience in a Communications- or Marketing-related position with at least 2 years of experience in SEO; agency experience preferred but not required; salary commensurate with experience
    • Experience with Search Engine Optimization with a proven track record of results, including keyword research, link building strategies and tactical implementation
    • Strong knowledge of SEO research tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console or equivalent.
    • Experience writing and editing a variety of communication pieces for print and digital supports
    • Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Quebec only: Bilingual in English and French

  • Work Environment and Travel Requirements

    • Quebec only: This role is remote. If candidate hired is in Quebec, you will be provided with the technology you need to be successful in your role out of your home office.
    • Ontario only: This role is hybrid. If the candidate hired is in Ontario, this role will be based out of our corporate office in Oakville, ON. We will require a minimum in-office commitment of 2-3 days per week.

The Field Technical Analyst – Eastern Canada (assisting with Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic licensees) is a point of contact for technical & KPI analysis for CSN Field Operations Team within Eastern Canada. The position reports directly to the GM – EC and will work with other Field Operations Manager (FOM) and other Field Technical Analysts (FTAs) in Eastern Canada. The FTA will assist the GM – EC with other departments within CSN to help licensees grow and perform within their business operations by leveraging the CSN System by identifying shop or repair behaviour that can be improved.

Responsibilities:

  • What you will do in this role: (Primary Objectives)

    • Be a point of contact for technical analysis and repair related information for the GM – EC & FOMs in Eastern Canada
    • Using in depth knowledge of the automotive industry and trends to assist CSN licensees to ensure industry needs are met.
    • Case Management: Resolve high urgency issues using industry knowledge to guide decision making and negotiating resolution. Present and mediate findings either in person or virtually regarding complex issues to all parties involved during case resolution
    • Target Auditing: Conduct targeted insurance auditing to support CSN licensees with insurance KPI performance and proactively identify outliers for coaching and create performance improvement plans
    • Training Development: Be a subject matter expert to assist our Training and Development team build training for the CSN Network. Clearly identifying key goals and objectives for training to be developed. Deliver training either recorded, virtually or in person
    • Shop Operations (CSN System): Identify opportunities to help licensees leverage the CSN System.
    • Reporting: Report progress and activity on a monthly and quarterly basis to ensure targets and goals are being met

Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience and in-depth understanding of the collision repair industry and/or Insurance claims process and auditing
    • Red-Seal license or equivalent
    • I-Car or other OEM industry technical training/certification
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with data analytics is an asset
    • Must always have a valid driver’s license and in good standings, per transport Canada requirements.

An auto body technician is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Be proficient in reading and interpreting repair estimates and repair documentation
  • Participate and contribute in repair planning
  • Use structural pulling equipment to straighten bent frames and unitized bodies
  • Be able to set up and operate electronic measuring equipment
  • Remove badly damaged sections of vehicles (e.g. roof, rear body panels, etc.) and weld in new sections
