Summary 

The Field Operations Manager – Quebec (FOM – Quebec) is the primary point of contact for CSN Licensees within the Quebec region. The position reports directly to the FOM-Team Lead and will work with other FOMs and FTAs in Eastern Canada.  The FOM will help licensees grow and perform and work with other departments within CSN to help licensees improve their business operations by leveraging the CSN System, which includes (i) partnerships with insurers, OEMs and vendors, (ii) local and digital marketing tools and (iii) operational support tools.

Le Directeur des Opérations sur le Terrain – Québec est le principal point de contact pour les licenciés CSN de la province de Québec. Le titulaire de ce poste relève directement du responsable des directeurs des opérations sur le terrain et collabore avec d’autres gestionnaire des opérations sur le terrain dans l’Est du Canada. Le gestionnaire des opérations sur le terrain aide les licenciés CSN à faire croître leurs affaires et à améliorer leur rendement; il collabore avec d’autres services au sein de CSN pour aider les licenciés à améliorer leurs opérations en tirant parti du système de CSN, qui comprend i) des partenariats avec les assureurs, les fabricants et les fournisseurs; ii) des outils de marketing local et numérique et iii) des outils de soutien opérationnel.

Primary Objectives of the Field Operations Manager

  • Primary point of contact for CSN Licensees in the Quebec Region
  • Understand store needs and work with the FOM-Team Lead, or other departments within CSN when necessary, to ensure that these needs are met.
  • Meet with each store on a quarterly basis to ensure that the store is getting the most out of the CSN System; specific meeting topics include:
    • Overall business growth and performance
    • Performance on insurance programs
    • Utilization of vendors, marketing programs, software, training, and other components of the CSN System
    • New and upcoming CSN initiatives
    • Review of outstanding issues and / or new issues, including non-urgent issues
    • Identification of one or two strategic action items and expected timing
    • Lead virtual and in person regional meetings, to occur up to three times per year and assist with CSN annual conference
  • Work with the FOM-Team Lead to identify strategies to help licensees get the most out of the CSN System
  • Work with other teams at CSN to execute identified strategies, and / or suggest additions, changes to the CSN System.
  • Resolve store concerns, and high urgency issues originating from CSN corporate teams, providing clear direction in a timely manner
  • Escalate complex case management issues to the FOM-Team Lead when necessary and assist the FTA with case management and file auditing when necessary.
  • Build and support licensee training
  • Develop content and record micro trainings
  • Report progress and activity to the FOM-Team Lead monthly, providing summaries on the following topics:
    • Cases and action items more than 30 days old
    • Challenges engaging with stores
    • KPI performance vs. targets

Other Qualifications: Education and Technical Skills

The position would be best suited for someone with the following education and experience:

  • Minimum five years of management experience in the collision repair industry
  • Understanding of the GAA rules and application, within the province of Quebec
  • Post-secondary or Trade School education with a focus in business or field related to the collision repair industry
  • Minimum 5 years’ estimating experience on both Canadian industry estimating systems (Audatex & Mitchell)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with OEM procedural lookup as it applies to estimating
  • Must always have a valid driver’s license

Travel Requirements

Travel will be required to meet with stores, attend industry events, attend training meetings, and meet with corporate staff at the head office in Oakville, Ontario.

  • Travel days are expected to be 35 to 40 days per year and will require overnight stays.

Work Environment

  • The environment for this role is fast paced and complex, involving urgent timelines, multiple competing priorities and managing numerous stakeholders.
  • Success candidate will be required to work out of their home office and have access to a personal vehicle (for which a vehicle allowance will be provided to cover use of, maintenance and insurance)

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial analysis to support the quarterly financials and provide business insight on the quarterly results of both CSN Canadian operations and 1Collision US operations.   This position also supports in enforcing and developing of new accounting policies and procedures and month end/quarter end closing for both Canadian and US Operations.   The position will be further responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing for employees across Canada. 

Responsibilities:

  • Primary Objectives of the Role

    • Month end/Quarter end review and analysis of key Balance Sheet Accounts such as AR, AP and Accrual Accounts ensuring accuracy and the ability to identify and report on any discrepancies.

    • Oversee monthly/quarterly reconciliation of all insurance and insurance rebate accounts.

    • Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly departmental budget versus actual analysis for discussions with department heads.

    • Analyze Revenue accounts providing insights on discrepancies between actual vs budget and providing margin analysis.

    • Reconcile monthly bank statements.

    • Process payroll for Canadian Operations.

    • Manage the monthly and quarterly Commission calculations.

    • Assist in creating and documenting internal control procedures and SOP’s surrounding accounts receivable, accounts payable any other accounting related transactions.

Responsibilities:

The Customer Service Representative provides a high level of face-to-face customer service and supports customers’ needs throughout the repair process.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides courteous assistance to customers and educates customers on collision repair process
  • Face-to-face interaction with customers
  • Taking photos of and evaluating vehicle damage
  • Capturing complete list of customers expectations and if necessary negotiating on service deliverables
  • Understanding specific insurers claims processing policies and processes and following them accordingly
  • Maintaining updated customer files
  • Timely two-way communication with/ between internal and external customers
  • Providing back-up to Front Office Administrator, i.e. answering phones and greeting customers

Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in Customer Service, previous experience in the automotive industry is preferred.

Auto Body Prepper

The Auto Body Prepper will prep surfaces for the automotive painter and apply the appropriate masking techniques to ensure a seamless paint finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to review repair orders and perform the job as efficiently as possible.
  • Ability and willingness to follow standardized production processes.
  • Masking vehicles prior to and following the paint process.
  • Assist in surface element removal on panels, parts, etc
  • Ability to surface prep for items needed to paint

Responsibilities:

  • Be proficient in reading and interpreting repair estimates and repair documentation
  • Participate and contribute in repair planning
  • Use structural pulling equipment to straighten bent frames and unitized bodies
  • Be able to set up and operate electronic measuring equipment
  • Remove badly damaged sections of vehicles (e.g. roof, rear body panels, etc.) and weld in new sections
  • Repair damage to body panels, weld according to OEM guidelines and procedures
  • Repair and/or replace interior and exterior components such as instrument panels, seat frame assemblies, carpets and floorboard insulation, trim panels and mouldings as required
  • Replace accident damage components in hybrid systems, airbags and restraint systems, mechanical and safety systems e.g: ADAS
  • Inspect vehicles for dimensional accuracy and test drive them to ensure proper alignment and handling.

Qualifications:

  • You are able to research, understand and follow all OEM repair procedures
  • You have the ability to work independently as well as contribute to a team
  • You adhere to all protocols of a safe work environment
  • You are physically capable of all physical attributes to perform all job requirements (which include bending, crouching, reaching and lifting approximately 50 pounds +)
