Windshields are no longer just a piece of glass. Many modern vehicles safety and accident-avoidance systems are tied to the windshield; from lane departure warnings to automatic rain sensors, windshields have been integrated into more and more systems.

These safety features are highly sensitive and finely calibrated when the vehicle arrives from the Factory. When windshield glass is replaced or repaired, these systems must be professionally calibrated to ensure they continue to work as intended. If a sensor is shifted by even a few millimeters during the repair it can cause the system to fault, rendering your ADAS system ineffective and limiting your vehicles safety features.
