ADDING TO MOMENTUM: AUTOTECH JOINS CSN

CSN Autotech in Lacombe, AB joins the expanding CSN network

Alberta is where the battle for the west is being won when it comes to brand expansion. CSN continues the trend of finding the top collision repairers in the prairies by signing a familiar face in CSN Autotech.

CSN Autotech is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and they invited a familiar face to celebrate the occasion. Established in 1996 by Owner and General Manager Craig Phillips, CSN Autotech is on their second go around with CSN Collision Centres. Originally part of the CSN network from 2014-2017 Craig Phillips admits that the decision to leave CSN was a mistake. Attracted to the business model and the reputation of the network as amongst the best in the country, the appeal of CSN was evident but Phillips was not devoted to the brand. After going it alone as an independent for the last 3-years, Phillips decided it was the right time to go back to CSN and make the long-term commitment.

“I’ve been in this industry for a long time and the reputation CSN has is second to none.” Phillips said. “For us being part of a network that is known for the highest calibre of repairs and has the recognition within the industry is really important.” Phillips said. When evaluating whether he wanted to stay independent or join a banner again, Phillips new that other networks were not up to the same standard and that CSN was obviously a notch above the rest.

For Phillips, his career in the collision industry happened organically. A journey that began sweeping floors quickly transitioned to an apprenticeship and eventually a role as a licensed mechanic. From there Phillips graduated to a management level role and from there the desire to own his own collision repair facility. “It’s been a long summer for me, I started out just looking for a job between school and here I am 40-years later.” Phillips said. A self professed car lover, among his collection is a CSN blue 1955 Chevy Bel-Air two-door hard top. “It’s what I’m known for around here, I’m the car guy.” Phillips said.

CSN Autotech is heavily involved in the Lacombe community from hosting annual golf tournaments and sponsoring local sports teams. Being active within the community from minor sports to helping other businesses in need is par for the course for CSN Autotech.

CSN Autotech was activated as an official CSN Collision Centre on July 29th, 2020.
