SugarShack: 25 Years of Music, Fundraising, and Community Spirit

On July 4^th, 2024, warm, sunny weather graced the SugarShack pre-Stampede event, co-hosted by CSN, IDENTITY INK, FIRST ONSITE, WESTERN SITE SERVICES, RE-DO-IT RENOVATIONS, CLAIMS PRO, and CLS LANDSCAPE SUPPLY.

Originally a backyard party thrown by friends to celebrate the start of the annual Calgary Stampede on Sneak-a-Peek night, the event has grown over the years. Twenty-four years later, it has evolved into a key part of the Cowboys Music Festival, kicking off the famous Stampede. This year’s event featured Orange Whip, SugarShack’s house band since 2006, alongside other talented bands.

Aside from the celebration, SugarShack also serves as a fundraiser. As it commemorates its 25th anniversary, the event is set to surpass $500,000 in funds raised over the years. Over 800 tickets were sold this year, with an expected fundraising goal of $25,000. The proceeds will go towards the Kids Cancer Care Foundation, Gems for Gems, and Breaking Free Foundation.

In attendance were representatives from CSN Collision, insurance companies, vendor partners and other collision repair industry organisations.
