Lift Auto Group Supports Hope Air at Haul for Hope
When Haul for Hope 2026 took flight, Lift Auto Group teams from Vancouver, Kelowna and
Calgary were ready to pull together, and they did it in true 80s style.
Presented by WestJet, Haul for Hope is an annual fundraising event that challenges teams
to pull a 67,000 lb. Dash 8 aircraft across the tarmac in a race against the clock. This year,
as Hope Air celebrates 40 years since its founding in 1986, the competition got an 80sinspired
twist, with teams dressing the part and taking on the challenge to a soundtrack of
iconic hits from the decade.
Our Lift teams brought the costumes, the enthusiasm and some first-class pulling power to
the tarmac. And when the music started, they didn’t miss a beat.
The results?
Lower Mainland: 44.29 seconds
Kelowna: 32.78 seconds
Calgary: 28.50 seconds
But the biggest win happened off the clock.
Together, Lift Auto Group raised $12,725 for Hope Air, supporting its mission to ensure
Canadians living in remote, rural and underserved communities can access vital medical
care. Since 1986, Hope Air has provided more than 230,000 free travel arrangements for
patients and families across Canada.
From the 80s-inspired outfits to the last note of the soundtrack, our teams brought plenty
of energy, determination and teamwork to the runway, all for a cause that helps Canadians
get where they need to go.
