CSN MJ Collision Brings Community, Culture and Connection to Scarborough with Bim on the Blvd.
On July 24 and 25, over 1,000 people joined the CSN Collision team at CSN MJ Collision in Scarborough for a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture, community and connection as Bim on the Blvd welcomed families, friends, local businesses and community partners for a memorable weekend of festivities.
The event brought together people from across Scarborough and the Greater Toronto Area to enjoy live entertainment, local vendors, Caribbean cuisine, cultural experiences and community engagement in an atmosphere that was both welcoming and celebratory.
As a proud supporter and host venue, CSN MJ Collision was thrilled to see the vision for Bim on the Blvd come to life after months of hard work and planning.
From spirited rounds of road tennis and live performances that kept crowds entertained throughout the day, to the aromas of authentic Caribbean cuisine filling the air, every aspect of the event offered attendees an opportunity to connect with the culture and traditions being celebrated.
One of the most memorable aspects of the event was the joy shared across generations.
“There were so many favourite moments,” said Monifa, co-owner of CSN MJ Collision. “But if I had to narrow my focus, one would be the wave of excitement as the day’s festivities progressed, especially the look of glee on the faces of the hundreds of kids as they openly celebrated their Caribbean culture, as passed on from the older generational stalwarts.”
That sense of heritage, pride, and community connection was evident throughout the weekend as families gathered to share traditions, stories, and experiences.
For CSN MJ Collision, supporting Bim on the Blvd was about much more than simply providing a space to host an event; it aligned closely with several values that guide the organization’s approach to community involvement.
According to Monifa, three key themes stood out from the very beginning.
“Building genuine and sustainable community relationships through active engagement at the local level,” she explained. “Delivering value not only to the clients that we provide services to, but also to the community that we form a part of.”
Events like Bim on the Blvd create opportunities for residents, businesses and organizations to come together in meaningful ways, strengthening the connections that help communities thrive.
The GTA is one of the most culturally diverse regions in the world, and that diversity is reflected every day in the communities CSN MJ serves.
“Our support of Bim on the Boulevard is to celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of this beautiful country that we all call home, in hopes of playing our part in continuing to knit threads of unity throughout Scarborough and the wider GTA.”
By creating opportunities for cultural celebration and understanding, events like Bim on the Blvd help build bridges across communities and foster a stronger sense of belonging.
For many involved, the event also carried a deep personal connection.
“As one of the founders of CSN MJ Auto Collision, memories of the vibrant sounds, tastes and colours that consumed my Jamaican childhood made this decision a no-brainer.” Monifa continued.
Those memories came vividly to life throughout the weekend, creating an experience that resonated with attendees of all ages and backgrounds.
Behind every successful community event is a dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes.
The success of Bim on the Blvd was made possible through the commitment, planning and passion of the entire CSN MJ Collision team, who invested countless hours to help bring the event to life.
From coordinating logistics and welcoming guests to supporting vendors and ensuring the event ran smoothly, their efforts created an experience that left a lasting impression on attendees and demonstrated CSN MJ Collision’s ongoing commitment to the communities it serves.
CSN Collision was proud to attend and support the event, witnessing firsthand the positive impact it had on the community.
To the organizers, performers, vendors, volunteers, community partners, attendees and everyone who played a role in making the weekend a success, thank you.
Most importantly, thank you to the CSN MJ Collision team whose vision, dedication and community spirit helped make this event a reality.
We look forward to seeing how Bim on the Blvd continues to grow and bring communities together for years to come.
