PEOPLE’S CHOICE IS CHOSEN
In a celebrated tradition, the “People’s Choice Award” was presented to the most popular vehicle owner at the annual CSN Collision Father’s Day Car Show, held this on June 21st, 2026, in Kelowna.
This prestigious award, generously sponsored by Kelowna Chevrolet, is bestowed upon the vehicle that garners the most votes from show attendees.
This year, the honour went to Jennifer Jayden, an automotive enthusiast and proud owner of a stunning 1969 z28 302 Zapper Camaro.
Jennifer has a deep-rooted history with the car, having purchased it at only 17 years old.
While she initially had her heart set on a Corvette, the budget-friendly “Zapper” captured her affection and has been a cherished part of her life ever since.
Affectionately called “Brenda Lee,” the Camaro earned its name from the first song Jennifer heard on the radio upon starting it up for the first time – a name that now proudly adorns the trunk.
Brenda Lee is a true numbers-matching classic, lovingly restored through a meticulous frame-off restoration to the factory specifications she wore when she first rolled off the assembly line. A touch of period-inspired customization gives her a personality all her own, with pearl white stripes and subtle iridescent ghost flames adding just the right amount of individuality while preserving her timeless character.
Brenda Lee has become more than just a car; it is a family treasure. Jennifer has lovingly documented her son, Jesse, alongside the vehicle each year since his birth, creating a beautiful timeline of memories.
As a dedicated attendee of the car show from its inception under former owner Boyd Autobody to its current management by Lift Auto Group and CSN Collision, Jennifer expressed her gratitude to the community.
“This is a heartfelt thank you to all that voted for us,” she said. “Year after year, this vehicle has followed me on my life’s journey, so this award and this moment will stay with me forever, as I hope Brenda Lee does.”
